She focuses on the media and ad tech companies, blending her legal and consulting expertise to address industry-specific challenges. Lacey helps clients at all stages of maturity: from bringing fast-growing startups into compliance with GDPR and CCPA, to assisting middle-market companies with due diligence, to supporting established businesses as they develop new digital products.
Her practice includes conducting privacy assessments, negotiating Data Processing Addenda and a variety of other commercial agreements, responding to regulatory inquiries, and training in-house legal and business teams. In addition, Lacey builds and manages efficient, cost-effective privacy program), implements privacy technology, and provides strategic direction to prepare clients for regulatory changes. She also works with product and engineering teams throughout the product design lifecycle, and with IT and cybersecurity teams on incident response and third-party risk management.

Lacey has spent nearly a decade working in privacy and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, and CIPM). Before founding Group Five Legal, she worked as a privacy and cybersecurity consultant, helping clients build privacy programs from the ground and supporting clients as they matured their programs. She also served as in-house Privacy Counsel for Hearst, Vox Media, and Group Nine Media.
Lacey is admitted to practice in New York and Maryland. She received a JD from Vanderbilt Law School and a BA from Tulane University.
