Work with us however works for you.
Most law firms make you fit their process. We built ours around yours. Whether you need a single matter handled, a project taken off your plate, or a go-to legal partner who's always in step with your business, we structure the engagement to match—not a rigid retainer or a meter that's always running. However you work best, that's how we work.

On-Demand General Counsel
For businesses that need more than occasional outside counsel but aren't ready for a full-time hire, we serve as your on-demand general counsel. We're embedded in how you work—on Slack, in your workspace, on the calls that matter. From contracts to compliance to the questions you didn't know to ask, we'll spot the issues and clear the hurdles. One flat monthly fee, one point of contact, and a partner who knows your business well enough to move fast when it counts.
Hourly
For ad hoc matters, we work on a traditional hourly basis—no subscription required. You get the same senior-partner attention and operator judgment as any other engagement, billed only for the time we spend.
Project
When you know the scope — a financing round, an M&A deal, a specific contract negotiation—we can scope the fee to match. You get cost certainty upfront and a partner focused on getting the deal done, not running the clock.
Hybrid
Most businesses don't fit neatly into one box, so we don't make you choose. Combine on-demand general counsel with project or hourly work as needs arise. One relationship, structured around whatever the moment calls for.
You have questions. We have answers.
01
Do I have to commit to one engagement model?
No. Many clients start with a single matter on an hourly or project basis, and move into on-demand general counsel once that relationship proves out. Others mix models as needs change. We structure things around what makes sense for your business, not a fixed package.
02
What's the difference between on-demand general counsel and hiring a full-time GC?
On-demand general counsel gives you a senior legal partner—available for issue-spotting, strategy, and day-to-day questions—at a flat monthly fee, without the cost of a full-time hire (often a fraction of the mid to high six-figures that a seasoned in-house GC commands. You get the same embedded relationship, just scaled to fit.
03
If I engage with you as general counsel, do I still need other firms?
Usually not. Our partners bring enough breadth across corporate, commercial, labor and employment, IP, and financing to serve as your entire outside legal function, and we lean on trusted co-counsel for anything outside our depth. That means one point of contact instead of several firms to manage and pay separately.
04
How do we decide which model is right for us?
It often comes down to the scope and frequency of your legal needs. A single matter—a contract, a dispute, a financing round—usually fits hourly or project-based work. If you're regularly relying on outside counsel across multiple areas of the business, on-demand general counsel tends to be more cost-effective and keeps everything under one roof.
